I feel like I’m the only one who thinks about this, but why is fish not considered meat? I know about the fish industry and the pope and Lent and yada yada, but really? What makes fish so great that it isn’t meat? I mean, if a cow swam around in water before you ate it, you’d call it meat and not fish.

  1. ebillan said: I never understood this, myself. Fish are important. Overfishing is a problem, in fact, and has been a /huge/ problem in the past. My vegetarian friend said ‘well, I have to eat some meat, might as well be fish.’
