All just because I don’t care about Native American fashion.

I know, some of you read that, your hearts stopped, you started writing a comment or ask, and you suddenly shouted:

But it’s true. I don’t care about any kind of fashion. Hell, I wear khaki pants everyday, which apparently gives all my friends heart attacks.

The point here is this: getting upset to the point of shouting and posting nasty things to and about people on here because of the way they portray Natives is silly. Please enlighten me as to how saying “IGNORANT RACIST FUCK!” helps the cause you are protesting. I’d really like to know.

We were taught since elementary school that the typical headdress and bear skin clothes were what Natives wear. It’s not our fault that we don’t know how they used to dress. For Pete’s sake, I can barely tell you what people wore in the 80s, and that was more recent!

So before you post another nasty comment on a hipster’s photo calling them awful names just because they didn’t know, try something else. Go to their ask box, and tell them that the picture is offensive to you, and explain how they should correctly portray a Native’s fashion.

Just be respectful.
